<p>
	Good morning,
</p>

<p>
	I am working with the Tinker Board S for a customer project and need to deactivate components for production as a security and perfomance measure.
</p>

<p>
	For example, I want to deactivate the GPU and and WiFi via device tree overlays as a low level approach to accomplish this goal. I saw that you shiped several overlays and found a couple of entries in this forum about overlays making me believe that this is the approach to go. Unfortunately, I was not able to succeed so far.
</p>

<p>
	What I did:
</p>

<p>
	1. tested to compile the three attached overlays.
</p>

<p>
	compilation with <br />
	dtc -O dtb -o disable-gpu.dtbo -b 0 -@ disable-gpu-overlay.dts <br />
	worked fine.
</p>

<p>
	<br />
	I move the file disable-gpu.dtbo to /boot/overlays and added them at the end of /boot/config.txt (overlay=disable-gpu)
</p>

<p>
	but the overlay seems not to be loaded, because GPU and Desktop still booting and: <br />
	dmesg | grep -i overlay <br />
	returns nothing -&gt; no overlays loaded
</p>

<p>
	2. Next approach was to load it manually, but "dtoverlay" is not installed (should be included into device-tree-compiler package)
</p>

<p>
	3. As an alternative I wanted to decompile the dtb and change the activation status directly there or apply the overlays manually to the dtb. But I do not find any *.dtb file in the filesystem.
</p>

<p>
	Could you please point me to the best way to accomplish my overall goal and walk me through the process?
</p>

<p>
	Thank you in advance!
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Hello dear Tinker Board community,</strong>
</p>

<p>
	I have a question regarding the <strong>Tinker Board 2S</strong> when trying to install a different OS.
</p>

<p>
	I followed a tutorial and flashed my <strong>DietPi</strong> for the <strong>ASUS Tinker Board 2</strong> with the <strong>Rockchip RK3399</strong> onto a microSD card and inserted it into the Tinker Board.
</p>

<p>
	I also switched it to <strong>Maskrom mode</strong> and then powered it on, but it didn’t work.
</p>

<p>
	It just launched <strong>TinkerOS</strong> and never even attempted to boot from the microSD card or showed any error message.
</p>

<p>
	What am I missing?
</p>

<p>
	I've got an original Tinker Board v1.2 and have tried putting DietPi and Armbian on it because Tinker Os for this board is too old to install Klipper.
</p>

<p>
	Problem is with both DietPi and Armbian, when I shutdown the board, the lights go out but it still draws 400 to 700mA and the SOC stays warm. With Tinker OS it doesn't do this, the power usage goes to zero after shutdown.
</p>

<p>
	Does anyone know how to fix Armbian or DietPi so the power gets turned off when the board is shut down?

<p>
	I recently started using the original Tinker Board and hope to use it as a low-power Plex/Jellyfin media server and/or NAS. I have tried to install the recommended TinkerOS (Tinker Board S R2.0 Debian 10 V3.0.11), however, I encountered the following issues:
</p>

<p>
	1. Cannot install Samba - tried to use different repositories, still no luck.
</p>

<p>
	2. Cannot RDP - tried to install XRDP and other dependencies with all other packages, still cannot remote desktop
</p>

<p>
	3.  Managed to get SSH through
</p>

<p>
	I understand that this is an old SBC, but I really don't want to spend much on this. Could anyone please shed a light for me? or maybe try Armbian or Android OS?
</p>

I tried to change it using script, changes reflecting in network file properly (/etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/Wired Ethernet1.nmconnection). But It's creating new connection eth0  and taking auto IP. Not taking my IP, anyone have any idea about this my guess is because of edit maybe format change will happens because of that its not changing I think.  File also attached .<span> </span>

<p>
	Hello, i tried using my Webcam on the latest Debian 10 version on my Tinker Board.
</p>

<p>
	Unfortunately it does not get detected as UVC device, which it should. On another Laptop it works fine in Linux.
</p>

<p>
	Now i dont know why uvcvideo (the Kernel driver) does not detect this cam.
</p>

<p>
	it is listed with lsusb. The ID is 17ef:482f
</p>

<p>
	Is there anything i can do to get it working?
</p>

<p>
	I tried to recompile the kernel as the uvcvideo is compiled into the kernel. But i dont get very far with the Tutorial from https://github.com/TinkerBoard/TinkerBoard/wiki/Developer-Guide
</p>

<p>
	the error i get is when trying to "sudo apt-get install <code>gnupg-agent"</code>
</p>

<pre class="ipsCode prettyprint lang-html prettyprinted">
<span class="pln">The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 gnupg-agent : Depends : gpg-agent (&gt;= 2.2.12-1+deb10u2) but 2.2.12-1+deb10u1 is to be installed</span></pre>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	i dont know what route to take. It seems this debian version is broken in some way. Maybe you can point me to another distribution or some solution to my webcam problem?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	many greetings,
</p>

	Hello from Docker!<br />
	This message shows that your installation appears to be working correctly.
</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#333333;font-size:12px;">
	To generate this message, Docker took the following steps:<br />
	 1. The Docker client contacted the Docker daemon.<br />
	 2. The Docker daemon pulled the "hello-world" image from the Docker Hub.<br />
	    (arm32v7)<br />
	 3. The Docker daemon created a new container from that image which runs the<br />
	    executable that produces the output you are currently reading.<br />
	 4. The Docker daemon streamed that output to the Docker client, which sent it<br />
	    to your terminal.
</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#333333;font-size:12px;">
	To try something more ambitious, you can run an Ubuntu container with:<br />
	 $ docker run -it ubuntu bash
</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#333333;font-size:12px;">
	Share images, automate workflows, and more with a free Docker ID:<br />
