I am working on an object detection project and I need to change the operating system of the tinker edge T which is Mendel to another linux operating system, I tried with an SD card and it didn't work, I want to know if it is possible to change it and how?

hello @oussama

apart from having a sd card with os image loaded, please make sure the board enables boot from sd card -- there are four switches on the back of the board and the sd card boot mode is: on, off, on, on.

if you'd like to boot from emmc, it is on, off, off, off.

Hi @oussama,

I've been investigating BalenaOS on a Coral Dev Board (very similar to the Tinker Edge T). Perhaps it might fit your needs? Being built by Balena – the people who built Etcher – it comes with a flash image creator.

I had a look an there is an image. If you give it a try, I'd be interested to know how you get on an compare notes.
