Tinkerboard S R2 - ttyS0 problem

Hi,

I'm trying to use UART0 to receive characters from an external 3V3 UART which is connected to pins 8 & 10 on the 40 pin header.

I've disabled the console, and used the tty command to set the appropriate baud rate.

I'm not able to see any characters arriving to the ttyS0 device file.

When I replace the Tinkerboard with a RPI3, it works fine, so I believe the problem is related to Tinkerboard Debian config.

If anyone could provide some assistance and point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

     Which image version did you use? Have any steps about test uart functions?
