ethan 0 Posted April 25, 2023 I installed a Quectel EC25-AF mpcie card, I know it's not on the QVL, but someone had mentioned they were using one without issue. After installing the card the tinker edge r will no longer boot and only flashed a red light on led 0. I can't find any documentation on what might be wrong. I'm hoping this thing isn't fried. tooz 52 Posted April 25, 2023 hello @ethan, which os version are you using and did you connect the tinker edge r to a pc (type-c <> usb) whilst booting? from what you've described sounds like tinker edge r has enter fastboot mode, please disconnect tinker edge r with pc and see if it can boot into system. ethan 0 Posted April 27, 2023 (edited) I am using the debian 10 v2.0.5 version posted at the top of the software thread. I am not connected to the usb c port while attempting to boot. I do not have the recovery header shorted either. What is happening now is LED 0 flashes for roughly 200 milliseconds and then turns off, and the fan spins for the same time. This cycle is repeating endlessly. The behavior remains the same when attempting to boot it from the SD card, or when trying to connect to a pc via the usb c port. ethan 0 Posted April 29, 2023 I was able to successfully flash the board when I first got it, using the command line tool. I tried removing everything connected to the board including the wifi card, still the same result. Right now no computer will recognize the board when I plug it in and short the recovery header. Both on windows and linux, windows doesn't show it connected and lsusb doesn't show the device either. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
tooz 52 Posted May 2, 2023 hello @ethan, it might be a power supply issue if the led is flashing, please make sure you're using an adapter that provides sufficient power Power Connector (up to 65W) 1 x 12~19V DC Power Input Jack (5.5/2.5mm) 1 x 12~19V 4-pin DC Power Input Header it might be worth trying to flash os to another sd card, put it into tinker edge r (once flashing is done) connect it to nothing but windows pc and see if it enters ums mode -- it would be great if you could record the issue so we can have a closer check Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
